Just wondering.
Can I Buy Glasses Frames At the Thrift Store And Get My Own Perscription Lenses Made for Them?

Yes. You just need a prescription for the lenses. The optical store cannot require you to buy their frames. I’ve used the same lenses for years (just for reading) ’cause I love them. Saves lots of money too.
You can do this if the frame is made well enough to have the RX lenses placed into it. Eyeglass frames that are cheap and not well made would likely break when placing the RX lenses into them.
yes, altho the eye doctor may not have every size lens. and i know that old frames can be heavier than the newer ones. but my daughter found some fabulous old cat-eyes with rhinestones, and loves them.
yes but make sure it is a good sturdy frame because you still might have to pay for the lenses if the lab breaks the frame
